ABOUT US

MISSION STATEMENT
Partnering with Jesus to loose people from the chains of bondage by exposing the kingdom of darkness and introducing them to the treasures of the Kingdom of God.

MINISTRY PROFILE
Door of Hope Discipleship Ministry is a biblical counseling ministry located in Columbus, NC, offering discipleship both in group settings at various conferences and teaching ministries and on a personal level through one-on-one counseling and the Hannah Ministry. Our discipling approach is one that is gentle, loving, and biblically sound.

MINISTRY VISION
To see people become free in Christ by being released from spiritual bondage, taking possession of their inheritance in Christ, and learning to know the voice of the Shepherd. Thereby, experiencing the abundant life that Christ promised in John 10:10. "I am come that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly."

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe in one God, the creator of all things, eternal, infinite, perfect, and manifested in three persons as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (John 1:1-3; Isaiah 44:6-8; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29; Deut. 6:4; Isaiah 43:10).
  • We believe the Holy Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, the inerrant and entire revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the Divine and final authority for the Christian faith and life (II Timothy 3:15-17).
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of the Living God and became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth (Luke 1:26-35; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 9:6).
  • We believe in His sinless life, His miraculous ministry, His substitutionary death on the cross as atonement for our sins, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His ascension into Heaven to serve as our intercessor before the Father (John 1:14; Hebrews 7:25,26).
  • We believe in the New Birth, and that salvation is a free gift of God through Jesus Christ to all who will repent and believe the Gospel. We believe in salvation only through the blood of Jesus (Romans 3:23; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; John 3:3-8; I John 1:7-9). This causes us to enter the family of God by an experience called the “New Birth” as Jesus taught in John chapter 3.

MEET THE STAFF

Jason Schlabach is the founder of Door of Hope and the pastor of Foothills Community Chapel in Columbus, NC. He and his wife, Fern, have five children:  Landon, Heather, Reece, Destinee, and Paige. They live in Columbus, NC. Jason has the heart of a shepherd, giving oversight and direction to the many arms of this ministry. His passion is for people to be able to connect with their Heavenly Father, and to walk in the abundant life that is possible through Jesus Christ.
We appreciate Jason’s servant leadership in this role, and his sensitivity to God’s purposes and divine plan for Door of Hope. The flow of ministry has not been a stagnant pool, but a river steadily flowing wherever God is leading in the counseling ministry, and in seeing people set free.

Joe Miller serves as a counselor here at Door of Hope. He has used his gifting and passion to help people within the ministry as called upon the past 11 years. The confidence that we can have in Joe and the anointing in his life to come along side of people and help them connect with God has been a blessing. He and his wife, Christine, live in Easley, SC. They have six children, who have blessed them with nineteen grandchildren.
